Beauty goes BRIGHT

Staying in on a Friday can be boring, Design Scene is always a good place to waste time looking at all things fashion.  Tonight I came across a shoot for July’s edition of Marie Claire China shot by Oscar Cecere and styled by Riccardo Linarello, the ‘Aquababy’ shot explores the new sport chic swimwear that is quickly becoming the trend of the season.  However it wasn’t the fashion that caught my eye, it was the amazing make up by Augusto Picerni; colourful, vibrant, contrasting and just really really unique and eye catching.  I especially love the idea of a colourful brow……

Is there anything can’t do?  Super model, mother, wife, United Nations Good Will Ambasador, Actress, Yoga devotee, Producer, Victoria’s Secrets Angel and now the new face of Balenciaga AW14! ! Balenciaga doesn’t exactly need a huge campaign (it’s pretty big already you know) in fact all that’s necessary is a stunning Gisele and a fierce looking crop….Stunning!

A Royal event always brings out the best of the British – the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee (2-5 June) should be the biggest royal party to date and I cannot wait! I noticed Tatler magazine were also rather excited with this amazing tribute to the Queen and her royal corgis on their June Collectors Edition of the magazine.  How could anyone resist?

Elle Style Awards

Another glamourous, fashion forward night at the Elle Style Awards! This time of year means LFW is only days away giving indications as to who might be doing the rounds at the after show parties…..hopefully the famous folk will be looking as good as this over the next week!

So who stole the show?  I’m having a major Menswear moment at present; loving the slim cuts, luxurious fabrics and overall sharp appearance of a few rather lush gents! Non other than Burberry’s Eddie Redmayne – despite being ‘forced’ to stare at him all day at work (screen savers are always the current campaign) I’m not sick of the English man of the moment!

David Gandy is ever so consistent, typically in a three piece suit looking as handsome as ever…!

One mention I will give for the girls is Florence Welch…moving away from the bohemian, grecian goddess gowns of late for a fresh, edgy yet feminine Erdem S/S12 tailored dress – a look I would kill for!
