With NYFW now in full swing, three of the most anticipated labels have shown us what they’re made of! I’m not useually one to enjoy the clean cut, put together look that NY is famous for however this season I have fallen in love with a number of collections!
Alexander Wang’s leather creations, the knee high boots being a personal MUST HAVE for next season as well as the jersey dresses – the perfect mix between draped and fitted leaving an elegant sillohette which oozes easy after dark chic!
Victoria Beckham did the UK proud with her second full show proving her dresses are a force to be reconed with. The tight sculptural dresses clung to all the right places and eccenturated the models perfectly tiny waists with collars and pocket detailing in contrasting colours. The football socks were a witty addition however worked perfectly adding a little rough to the perfectly formed dresses. As a younger viewer the shorter dresses appealed!
DVF – NY legend, gained my respect when I worked with her clothes in store and saw how they transformed from the hanger to fit every inch of a customer’s body in all the right places making it easy and chic for any woman to wear print and colour. This season again she has transformed with a fresh, colour blocked take on what I would describe as lux daywear with a nod to the 70’s – I love the colour combinations and ease of the collection. One can only imagine being a DVF woman literally floating down the street!!
